Word Hunt is the letter-grid word game: sixteen letters in a 4×4 square and ninety seconds to find as many words as you can. A word is a path of touching tiles — neighbours in any direction, including diagonals — that never uses the same tile twice; drag through the letters and lift to submit, or type the word and press Enter (typed words are checked against the grid too). Words need three letters or more and come from our kid dictionary, so a child who finds a word that is not in it sees “not in our list”, never “wrong”. Longer words pay far more: from 10 points for three or four letters up to 50 for seven. It's free in any browser with no download — anyone can try a demo run with no account, and a free parent account with a verified email unlocks unlimited play.

Tips & tricks
- Find a short word first, then check whether a neighbouring letter stretches it into a longer one — five letters score double what three do.
- Every grid has at least four vowels; the letters around them are where the words are.
- Typing is faster than dragging once you spot a word — press Enter and the game checks the path for you.

What words count?
Words of three letters or more from our kid dictionary — common English words a child would know. Names and obscure words are not included, and a word only counts once.
How is Word Hunt scored?
3–4 letters are 10 points, 5 letters 20, 6 letters 30 and 7 letters 50. With a verified account, your total after the 90 seconds posts to the arcade leaderboard.
Can I play Word Hunt online with friends?
Yes. Open Word Hunt and choose Play online to join everyone playing it right now: up to 4 players a round, all starting together, and the highest score wins. When nobody else is on, computer players marked as bots hold the empty seats, and a real player always takes a bot's place. To play only with friends, make a private room and share its 4-character code. Online play needs a free parent account with a verified email, and players see only each other's nicknames and scores: there is no chat.
