Spider Solitaire
Build down one rank at a time on any suit, but only a run of one suit moves together. Tap a card to send its run where it fits best, or drag it. A King-to-Ace run of one suit leaves the table; clear all eight to win. When you're stuck, tap the stock for ten more cards (every column needs a card first). Undo takes back a move; Hint suggests one.
Spider Solitaire — a free online arcade game on TotType
Spider Solitaire is the two-deck patience game: 104 cards in ten columns, a stock dealt ten at a time, and eight runs to finish. Build down one rank at a time on any suit, but only a run of one suit moves together; a King-to-Ace run of one suit leaves the table. Pick one suit (all spades, the easiest), two or four. Tap a card to send its run where it fits best, or drag it there yourself; tap the stock for ten more cards once every column has one. Undo takes back a move and Hint suggests a useful one. Finished runs score, and a win adds a bonus for fewer moves, doubled with two suits and tripled with four. It's free in any browser with no download — anyone can try a demo run with no account, and a free parent account with a verified email unlocks unlimited play.

How to play Spider Solitaire
Build down one rank at a time on any suit, but only a run of one suit moves together. Tap a card to send its run where it fits best, or drag it. A King-to-Ace run of one suit leaves the table; clear all eight to win. When you're stuck, tap the stock for ten more cards (every column needs a card first). Undo takes back a move; Hint suggests one.
Tips & tricks
- Build in one suit whenever you can: a mixed column can only be moved one card at a time.
- An empty column is precious: use it to sort a long run, and fill it again before you deal.
- Turn over face-down cards first, and deal from the stock only when no useful move is left.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Spider Solitaire?
Move cards onto a card one rank higher, of any suit; only a run of one suit moves as a group. Finish a run from King down to Ace in one suit and it leaves the table. Clear all eight runs to win. When you're stuck, tap the stock to deal one card onto every column.
Should I play one, two or four suits?
One suit (all spades) is the easiest and the best place to start: every card can join every run. Two suits (spades and hearts) and four suits make mixed runs common and the game much harder, so they double and triple the score.
How is Spider Solitaire scored?
Each finished run scores 100. Winning adds 500 minus the moves you made, the classic Spider count, so a quick win scores most; Undo counts as a move. With two suits the total is doubled, with four it is tripled.
Can I play Spider Solitaire online with friends?
Yes. Open Spider Solitaire and choose Play online to join everyone playing it right now: up to 4 players a round, all starting together, and the highest score wins. When nobody else is on, computer players marked as bots hold the empty seats, and a real player always takes a bot's place. To play only with friends, make a private room and share its 4-character code. Online play needs a free parent account with a verified email, and players see only each other's nicknames and scores: there is no chat.
