Flood It
You own the top-left corner. Pick a colour — tap a button, tap any square of that colour, or press 1–6 — and every square touching your region in that colour joins it. Make the whole 12×12 board one colour within the move limit to clear it; the next board has fewer moves.

Flood It — a free online arcade game on TotType
Flood It is a colour-fill puzzle you can learn in one move: you own the top-left square, and each time you pick a colour, every square touching your region in that colour becomes yours. The aim is to make the entire 12×12 board a single colour within the move limit — 22 to start, one fewer every second board down to 18. Each board you clear is a point; run out of moves and the game ends. Six colours, no timer, and a satisfying wave of colour sweeping across the board on every good pick. It's free in any browser with no download — the arcade just needs a free parent account with a verified email.

How to play Flood It

Tips & tricks
- Pick the colour that touches your border the most, not the one with the most squares on the board.
- Two moves ahead matters: a colour that grabs little now can open up a big region for the next pick.
- Late in the board, look for the colour that finishes a whole side — the last few moves are the ones that count.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Flood It?
Your region starts at the top-left square. Pick a colour — tap a button, a square of that colour, or press 1 to 6 — and every square of that colour touching your region joins it. Make the whole board one colour before the moves run out.
How many moves do I get?
22 on the first board. Every two boards you clear takes one away, down to a minimum of 18. The score is the number of boards you clear before a board beats you.
Is there a timer?
No — Flood It is about thinking, not speed. Take as long as you like on each pick.
