Bowling — a free online arcade game on TotType
Bowling is ten-pin bowling with the real rules: ten frames, two balls a frame, strikes and spares that carry the next rolls forward, and bonus balls in the tenth — so 300 is the perfect game here too. The pins are little physics bodies: the ball knocks them into each other and a pin falls when it is shoved hard enough or leaves the deck, which means a pocket hit between the head pin and its neighbour scatters the rack the way it does at a real alley, while a dead-centre hit tends to leave the corners standing. Slide the ball to line it up, add hook so it curves into the pocket, and bowl. It's free in any browser with no download — the arcade just needs a free parent account with a verified email.

How to play Bowling

Tips & tricks
- Aim for the pocket — just off-centre, between the front pin and the one behind it — not the middle of the head pin.
- A little hook curving into the pocket knocks more pins than a straight ball; a lot of hook ends in the gutter.
- Second ball of the frame: look at which pins are standing and aim at the gap between them, not at one pin.
Frequently asked questions
How do you play Bowling?
Drag the ball sideways to position it, then swipe up to roll; swiping diagonally adds hook. With a keyboard, left and right move the ball, up and down set the hook, Space bowls. Ten frames.
How is Bowling scored?
Standard ten-pin scoring: knock all ten with the first ball for a strike (10 plus your next two rolls), with two balls for a spare (10 plus your next roll). The tenth frame gives bonus balls after a strike or spare. A perfect game is 300.
Why do the corner pins stay up?
A ball straight down the middle pushes the head pin back rather than sideways. Hit the pocket just off-centre and the pins knock each other over.
