Tips & tricks
- Hit the ball near the edges of your paddle to angle it sharply toward the CPU's weak spots.
- When a power-up appears, steer the ball straight through it to collect the effect instantly.
- Win matches to raise your level—each new level serves the ball faster and makes the computer quicker and more accurate, so long rallies get harder.
Frequently asked questions
How do you score in Paddle Battle?
You score 1 point each time the ball passes the opponent's paddle and goes out of bounds on their side. The first player to reach 7 points wins the match.
What do the power-ups do?
In 1-player mode, three power-ups float near the centre: the arrows make your paddle taller for about 9 seconds, the snowflake slows the ball for about 6 seconds, and the star adds a second ball for the rest of the rally. Any ball that passes through one collects it.
Can two people play Paddle Battle?
Yes. Choose 2 Players on the start screen: the left paddle uses W/S, the right uses the up and down arrows, or each player drags their own half of the board. Two-player matches have no power-ups and don't post to the leaderboard. Paddle Battle is free—anyone can try a demo run with no account, and a free parent account with a verified email unlocks unlimited play.
Can I play Paddle Battle online with friends?
Yes. Open Paddle Battle and choose Play online to join everyone playing it right now: up to 4 players a round, all starting together, and the highest score wins. When nobody else is on, computer players marked as bots hold the empty seats, and a real player always takes a bot's place. To play only with friends, make a private room and share its 4-character code. Online play needs a free parent account with a verified email, and players see only each other's nicknames and scores: there is no chat.
