Tips & tricks
- Control the center columns early—they give you more winning directions (horizontal, diagonal, and vertical) than the edge columns, making it harder for the AI to block you.
- Always check if dropping a disc creates a winning line for your opponent before you move, and block their four-in-a-row threats immediately or you'll lose that round.
- Save your POP power-ups for critical moments when the AI has built a dangerous position—use it to yank away a supporting disc and break up their potential wins.

How do you win at Drop Four?
Line up four of your discs in a row—across, down, or diagonally—before the AI does. Tap a column to drop your red disc, and the yellow AI will take its turn. First to four in a row wins the round.
What does the POP power-up do?
When you win a round in 1-player mode, you earn a POP that lets you remove the bottom disc from any column on the board. This can break up the AI's plans or create a winning line for you on your next turn. Press P (or tap the POP button) to activate it, then tap a column.
Can you play Drop Four with a friend?
Yes! Select 2-Player mode on the start screen, and you and a friend can take turns dropping red and yellow discs on the same device—no AI needed, just head-to-head hot-seat play.
Can I play Drop Four online with friends?
Yes. Open Drop Four and choose Play online to join everyone playing it right now: up to 4 players a round, all starting together, and the highest score wins. When nobody else is on, computer players marked as bots hold the empty seats, and a real player always takes a bot's place. To play only with friends, make a private room and share its 4-character code. Online play needs a free parent account with a verified email, and players see only each other's nicknames and scores: there is no chat.
