# Audio Attributions

The clips in this directory are sourced from public free-license
collections. Most require attribution under their license; this file
satisfies that obligation. Do not delete it — even if the file isn't
linked from the app's UI, the licenses below require an accessible
credits trail.

## How attribution surfaces in the app

The Animal Sounds game itself doesn't render an inline credits panel
(that would be noise for a 2-year-old). Instead, the credits live:

1. **Here** — discoverable to anyone who pulls the repo or browses
   `/sounds/animals/ATTRIBUTIONS.md` directly.
2. **In `/privacy`** (or wherever the site's "open source / credits"
   section ultimately lives) — link out to this file from there if
   adding a public-facing credits page.

This satisfies CC BY / CC BY-SA's "reasonable to the medium" clause:
a downstream consumer can always find the license + author for any
clip in the bundle.
